- Real estate agents use Rego to bookmark their listings, complete with reference photos and notes.

- And those frustrated with Foursquare are switching to Rego en masse! :-)

Pros and cons of Rego Pro: Bookmarks for places app for iPhone and iPad

Rego Pro: Bookmarks for places app good for

No frills, very good UI. Sharing full collections with friends is a big plus if you can pull that off!!
I know some apps let you record your location for a while and then use an app like HoudahGeo or Lightroom to import the gps log and match time stamps to locations on photos. I found this app two years ago when looking for just such an app. Now, that isnt what this app does, to be clear. But what it does allow is so great and helpful. Rego is wonderful for just saving interesting or special or important locations. However what really got me was the diverse ways in which you can add a location, including from a photo. Add the photo, it pulls the time and location and then you have the coordinates right there. You can add a description and never forget about that spot! I found this app on a trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC and VA to visit where I spent a part of my childhood. This app helped me remember all of the great photo spots I found along the way, quickly and easily. You can also organize saved locations by collections, and those inside folders. Locations can have one of I think about six different pin colors too, so I use pin color for general categorization; and then I drill down further with collections inside folders. Rego is clever and handy, especially if youre a traveler or a location nerd!
Works as advertised. I love adding vineyards and other restaurants so I can find them again, or recommend them to others. The new version looks great and the ability to use custom colored pins really helps find things. A wonderful app! I especially like the new today widget! Works great!
I love this app and the ability to pull GPS data from imported photos and map and categorize them. Love the multiple photos per location option and also the extensive ability to organize and tag your locations. You can also view your waypoints/photos based on distance from your current location. This is great if you are back in a frequented city and want to see all your closest favorite places near your current location. I use this app to record all my favorite restaurants, hotels, coffee shops, photo spots, even GPS tracks from hiking and motorcycle rides (they import easily from GAIA, my favorite GPS tracking/mapping app) Once they have an iPad version with iCloud syncing, I will be using this app even more.
Ive been searching for an app to store places, and Rego suits all my needs. Nice team behind answering quickly users requests. Excellent!
The "Nearby Places" widget doesnt work on iPhone 6 Plus, says -loading impossible- Still a great app, very useful.

Some bad moments

On iPhone 7, it crashes every time I try to take a photo for a thumbnail. I must renter all data for the pin when this happens.
are you kidding me? it doesnt even open!! i downloaded for what? god damned
Does almost nothing more that you cannot do with Evernote or DayOne or similar. No iPad version ... Sorry but I think its useless
This app is seriously the best app to experience the world and document places.
I love this app. I use it to bookmark bar and restaurant recommendations so I can remember interesting places to try when in an unfamiliar area. I only wish that the pins could be colored so that I can label and organize spots that Ive already been. Otherwise, perfect.
Love this amazing app. Just got back from vacation and wish I had it then. Any chance for folders? I would love to be able to add a folder of pictures instead of several photos from one trip taking the whole page.
