Great app - best for the serious traveler

No frills, very good UI. Sharing full collections with friends is a big plus if you can pull that off!!

Crashes when taking photos

On iPhone 7, it crashes every time I try to take a photo for a thumbnail. I must renter all data for the pin when this happens.

A great app for travelers, photographers, and more!

I know some apps let you record your location for a while and then use an app like HoudahGeo or Lightroom to import the gps log and match time stamps to locations on photos. I found this app two years ago when looking for just such an app. Now, that isnt what this app does, to be clear. But what it does allow is so great and helpful. Rego is wonderful for just saving interesting or special or important locations. However what really got me was the diverse ways in which you can add a location, including from a photo. Add the photo, it pulls the time and location and then you have the coordinates right there. You can add a description and never forget about that spot! I found this app on a trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC and VA to visit where I spent a part of my childhood. This app helped me remember all of the great photo spots I found along the way, quickly and easily. You can also organize saved locations by collections, and those inside folders. Locations can have one of I think about six different pin colors too, so I use pin color for general categorization; and then I drill down further with collections inside folders. Rego is clever and handy, especially if youre a traveler or a location nerd!

A great app

Works as advertised. I love adding vineyards and other restaurants so I can find them again, or recommend them to others. The new version looks great and the ability to use custom colored pins really helps find things. A wonderful app! I especially like the new today widget! Works great!

Great app with unique features, nearly perfect

I love this app and the ability to pull GPS data from imported photos and map and categorize them. Love the multiple photos per location option and also the extensive ability to organize and tag your locations. You can also view your waypoints/photos based on distance from your current location. This is great if you are back in a frequented city and want to see all your closest favorite places near your current location. I use this app to record all my favorite restaurants, hotels, coffee shops, photo spots, even GPS tracks from hiking and motorcycle rides (they import easily from GAIA, my favorite GPS tracking/mapping app) Once they have an iPad version with iCloud syncing, I will be using this app even more.

Excellent

Ive been searching for an app to store places, and Rego suits all my needs. Nice team behind answering quickly users requests. Excellent!

Excellent but need to fix the widgets

The "Nearby Places" widget doesnt work on iPhone 6 Plus, says -loading impossible- Still a great app, very useful.

Very Good App

Very good but when i tryed to open in my ipad it did not recognize that i have full version. Another thing is that it did not bring my bookmark from my iphone.

Awesome Idea!

Ive waited too long for such app! Though, I have two suggestions: sync with an web version and improve the integration with maps (I find it quite hard to look for places that are far away).

Good update!

Id like to see 3 more features: - backup via iCloud - date on recorda (really simple yet important) - open map on Sygic Keep on the good work!

Really good!

This app is awesome. I like the fact that It is not a social network.

Best travel app

It’s a killer travel app! You don’t need de internet to pin places and your lists even better. Go with it and enjoy your trip.

The new Fever app

Im so amazed with this app. I moved to São Paulo some years ago and Ive been trying to organize a hundred restaurants, bars, nightclubs etc Ive been on this time. I use to have many worldwide friends at home and every time I never remember to the exactly place I want to go with each of them! Now its over! I can organize my lists with each type of location and go or indicate easily! This app will be the next fever in months! I can bet! Congratulation to the developers!

Simple and elegant solution

Just what i needed. Bookmarks for Places. Great!

Great start

App works great as advertised. But, of course, theres a lot of potential for future improvements: What I miss most is a solution for backing up my data (locally).

Great App but one feature missing

Please make it available to see all favorite places of your friends rego list. Sharing with twitter or facebook is crap, theire must be the feature to add friends about your rego account. Would be very nice if you could make this poissible. Then you get 5 stars, all in all great app and great idea!!

Nearly Perfect

Using it l all of the time. Marking all my loved places at home and on vacation. Works even without mobile data when on the road. Update: Not completely happy with V2. Nevertheless 4 stars.

The best app for bookmarking places

I think Rego is by far the best app to organize places. It’s also the only app in which I can move freely and use the features as I like to use them, instead of being forced into a specific workflow. If I don’t want to drag around in a map? No problem. If I want to import something from Foursquare? No problem. Entering an address, using current location or gps data from a photo, this is all possible, in contrast to competing apps. The options Rego offers adapt to the preferences of the user. In its feature set, Rego is unique and has become irreplaceable to me, so a big thank you to the developer for writing this app. Also hoping for a Mac version someday.

A good idea but . . .

Its a great idea. I have a Notepad list of places and sites I want to visit on a future trip and downloaded this app to make the list more informative and easier to add places. The app is in dire need of a search facility. I have never been to the places on my list and to get them into the app I had to find them in Google Maps, memorize where they are (key place and street names) then approximate the location on the app maps. Very hard to do, inaccurate and time-consuming. The app also needs to use Google Maps rather than the native Apple maps. Apple improved their maps but the colour of the rural roads blends into the beige background, and theyre essentially invisible. Beyond a certain zoom level, theyre gone. In summary, its an excellent idea, a clean neat interface, but really needs a search capability. Back to the drawing board, guys/gals/other; Im impatiently awaiting the update. Addendum: given the bad search facility, some way of moving a saved map pin would also be a good idea.
